A lot of people have been arguing about this so I thought i'd bring it here. I think that he is still alive.

Yah, Boba Fett has been a topic of discussion for a while. While there is really no official book or movie that states he is alive, George Lucas has said in an interview that Fett escaped the pit. Whether or not we can still consider that as part of the new Disney universe I am not 100% sure. But, since they are doing a spinoff movie of Boba Fett I can assume that he's not dead yet.

Yeah because Disney might change what happened to Boba Fett. But I hope that he will make an appearance in Episode 8 or 9

What if in new canon Boba Fett survived and we'll be seeing him in Episode VIII either working for Resistance or First Order..? (this was a joke, although I'd love to see it happen.)

That would be cool if he did come back and is working for the Resistance

If he isn't alive while the events of the new trilogy are taking place, I'd love to at least see some Mandalorians in the film trilogy. Maybe some ex-Death Watch members who aren't really accepted anywhere else, or members of Clan Vizsla (in Mandalorian culture, the primary rebelling clan was Vizsla, and they make up the bulk of the Death Watch and are pretty much exiled).

Yah, we're just not sure where they are gonna place him in the new trilogy. Think it would be a bad idea if they brought him in?

I think it would be a bad fit in the new trilogy, because consider it this way. He was roughly 35, in ESB. and this new trilogy is 30 years later. So he's an old, old man now. Maybe we see him find a sort of, Han Solo role, where he's the old bounty hunter who never grew up. But honestly I only see him in there as maybe a reference, or the cynical crazed maniac the new characters dont want to become. I don't know though.

I actually agree with Randmfrongmans. I don't think we really need to see Boba showing up again, especially since the main person he wants revenge on is dead. I think they will most likely introduce new bounty hunters or focus on some of the other ones that didn't get much screen time.
